We have developed an advanced and unique heart failure therapy technology in the BrioVAD® Left Ventricular Assist System (LVAS). We are introducing the BrioVAD® LVAS to Heart Failure clinicians for use with the large number of indicated and untreated patients who could benefit from chronic mechanical circulatory support. The initiation of our INNOVATE™ Trial in the US is only the beginning. We are building a team to develop advanced technology intended to further improve patient outcomes, increase therapy acceptance, and enabling chronic MCS therapy to be accessible to more patients across the globe.
Job Description & Responsibilities
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, BrioHealth Solutions is seeking a Data Analyst to transform complex clinical, real-world, and stakeholder interaction data into actionable insights that support evidence generation, medical intelligence, site engagement strategy, post-market surveillance activities, and improved patient outcomes related to advanced heart failure therapies.
This role serves as a key analytical partner across Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), and cross-functional leadership by developing analyses, dashboards, and reporting related to BrioVAD clinical programs, field medical activities, and real-world evidence initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and data visualization expertise, experience working with clinical or healthcare datasets, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Data Management & Integration
Collect, organize, and maintain structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources, including:
BrioVAD clinical trial data
Future Brio registries and longitudinal datasets
Post-market surveillance and complaint data
Scientific literature and publication databases
Support Medical Affairs initiatives related to evidence generation, hypothesis development, investigator-initiated studies (IIS), and publication planning for the INNOVATE program and future sub-studies.
Harmonize and standardize data across sources to support longitudinal analyses, cross-site comparisons, and advanced heart failure insights related to LVAD therapy.
Analytical Insight Generation
Analyze clinical and real-world datasets to identify trends related to:
Patient outcomes and safety signals
Therapy utilization and clinical practice patterns
Site performance, engagement, and operational effectiveness
Translate complex datasets into actionable insights that support medical strategy, evidence generation, and field medical activities.
Identify trends and emerging insights to support proactive decision-making across Medical Affairs initiatives.
Reporting & Visualization:
Develop dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
Present insights in a clear and effective format tailored to Medical Affairs leadership, clinicians, executive leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to site engagement, data quality, evidence generation, and Medical Affairs activities.
Medical Intelligence & Voice of Customer
Analyze qualitative and quantitative insights generated through:
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and field medical interactions
Medical information inquiries
Advisory boards and congress activities
Key opinion leader and clinician engagements
Identify clinician needs, unmet medical questions, barriers to LVAD adoption, and opportunities to enhance medical education and engagement strategies.
Support development of medical intelligence insights to inform broader organizational strategy and field effectiveness.
Quality, Compliance & Governance:
Perform routine data audits to ensure accuracy, integrity, traceability, and completeness across datasets and reporting outputs.
Ensure all analyses and data handling activities comply with applicable regulations, privacy requirements, and internal SOPs, including HIPAA and GDPR where applicable.
Support audit and inspection readiness activities related to Medical Affairs data and documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Medical Affairs, MSL teams, Clinical Affairs, R&D, Biostatistics, and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR).
Align analytical outputs with clinical strategy, publication planning, evidence-generation priorities, and site engagement initiatives.
Contribute data-driven insights during cross-functional reviews, strategic discussions, and leadership decision-making processes.
Requirements
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Biomedical Engineering, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
3+ years of experience in data analytics within MedTech, life sciences, healthcare, or cardiovascular devices, preferably supporting Medical Affairs or Clinical functions.
Experience working with clinical trial, registry, or real-world healthcare datasets.
Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Excel; experience with Python or R is a plus.
Strong understanding of biostatistics, data quality, validation, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Experience:
Experience supporting cardiovascular, heart failure, or implantable medical device therapies.
Familiarity with LVAD clinical workflows, patient pathways, or post-implant monitoring.
Exposure to MSL metrics, medical intelligence platforms, or CRM systems.
Knowledge of publication planning, evidence generation, or real-world evidence initiatives.
What we offer
Salary Range:
$90,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually
