Job Description & Responsibilities
Position Title: Technical Data Analyst
Reporting To: Vice President of Health Outcomes
The Technical Data Analyst will be part of the Business Intelligence and Health Outcomes team building the Well's analytics platform that powers data-driven insights. Well generates and receives a tremendous amount of data from a wide range of sources that is used for customer reporting, product analytics, and platform performance. This position requires interest in data modeling and data governance to facilitate Business Intelligence insights at Well. You will work cross-functionally with the data science, product, client success, and marketing teams and will enjoy learning and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the data and analytics stack for the Business Intelligence and Health Outcomes teams, ensuring accurate and timely data availability for business decision-making
- Collaborate with teams across the company to implement data solutions that support client success, content operations
- Partner with the Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to understand and source clean and accurate data from mobile and web emissions, healthcare claims, and wearables
- Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for high-scale data infrastructure
- Apply software engineering best practices like version control, naming conventions, and continuous integration to the analytics code base
- Take personal responsibility for keeping all Well systems and data, including sensitive member data, secure and safe, according to Well data and security policies and HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced SQL skills with experience standardizing queries and building data infrastructure involving large-scale relational datasets
- Experience working with databases that power business intelligence applications like Looker, Power BI, and Tableau
- Experience executing analyses in the cloud (GCP, AWS) and orchestrating data pipelines using tools like DBT and Napkin
- Ability to organize, prioritize, plan, and execute multiple work streams concurrently and across teams
- Interest and/or experience in healthcare, public health, and/ or healthtech
What we offer
Compensation: $62,000-$72,000, depending on qualifications
