We welcome applicants who have a right to work in the United States and United Kingdom.

Reports to: Analyst Hive

Our structure includes five self-managed teams, that are called 'Hives':

Resource Hive: a dedicated team comprising a company and system administrator to support the day to day working of everyone in the company.

Consultant Hive: a team of senior consultants who service our clients.

Analyst Hive: a team of Consulting & Data Analysts who support the Consultants and drive our SaaS business.

Tech Hive: a team of developers who help drive efficiencies and value by working closely with the Consultant and Analyst hives.

Communications Hive: a strategy led team who drive and qualify inbound and outbound leads, steward our brand, and amplify our external communications.

In addition to this there is a small Leadership team who directly supports the whole organization and also acts as Human Resource Leads for each team member.

A day in the role, Data Analyst

  • Receive data from clients, meticulously cleaning it, and use TRG's in-house tools to accurately ingest it. Your ability to manage data efficiently ensures that TRG's consulting and SaaS solutions are based on reliable and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare detailed data quality reports for clients. Your thorough analysis ensures that clients feel confident in the data, which forms the foundation for the consulting services we provide.
  • Use TRG’s venue modelling tool to build detailed seating maps. This task requires a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Assist SaaS client queries through HubSpot. You'll ensure that client queries are addressed promptly and effectively, showcasing your problem-solving skills and your commitment to excellent SaaS service.
  • Participate in hive meetings where you'll engage with a devolved management structure. These meetings are key to fostering a collaborative decision-making environment, allowing you to contribute directly to your team's strategy and direction.
  • Gather and refine data from TRG's global Arts & Culture Benchmark for use in industry trend analysis, provided to internal stakeholders such as consultants and marketing teams to craft compelling content, conference narratives and strategic recommendations.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc and custom analysis requests from across the organization. Your expertise might be called on to answer a specific client question, understand an industry trend, or produce an infographic for our website.
  • Be ready to take on tasks that will help you grow in your career. This might include working with clients, making consultative calls to prospects, or managing a group of software clients. All these activities support your Hive's Key Performance Indicators.
Data Analyst job requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

Inquisitiveness and Analytical Thinking: You have a natural curiosity about data and its potential to transform arts and cultural organisations. Your analytical mindset helps you to ask the right questions and dive deep into data to uncover insights.

Communication Skills: You have the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, making complicated subjects easy to understand for various audiences. Your excellent communication skills help you articulate findings and drive collaborative efforts effectively.

Project Management: Your ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines ensures that you can handle the dynamic nature of your responsibilities, particularly in a remote work environment. Your persistence and determination help you overcome challenges and maintain progress despite obstacles.

Learning and Growth: You have a strong internal motivation and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and concepts with minimal guidance. Your desire to continuously improve and move forward is matched by your hands-on approach to tasks.

Adaptability and Self-Management: You thrive in environments that require self-direction and personal accountability. At TRG, we operate in a hive structure where decision-making is decentralized and each team, or 'hive,' is empowered to plan and execute their work autonomously. Your comfort with a non-traditional management setup where initiative and cross-team collaboration drive success is crucial.

Technical Skills: You are technically minded and a strong problem solver, who loves to learn – we’re not experts in everything and we don’t expect you to be either. A strong grounding in Excel equips you to contribute effectively and an eagerness to learn or basic knowledge of SQL and Power Query will help you develop within the role. Familiarity with business intelligence tools, though not required, would enhance your ability to analyse and visualize data.

Passion for the Arts: An interest in theatre ticketing data or the arts industry would be beneficial, as it can provide context for the data you'll be working with. However, what's most important is your passion for using data to drive innovations and client results.
