Data Analyst job description

The Sales and Marketing Data Analyst will develop, implement, and deliver data analytics and dashboards cross functionally. This position collaborates with internal teams on projects ranging from instructional coaching to driving data-driven insights and efficiencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine SQL queries to acquire and manipulate data efficiently.
  • Create detailed data extracts and insightful reports using Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Oversee daily PowerBI reporting processes and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Expertly leverage complex data sources to visually represent key business metrics.
  • Serve as a pivotal member of the project team for the implementation of a new data warehouse.
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity and quality of the data warehouse.
  • Provide comprehensive cross-functional sales and marketing reports on a monthly basis.
  • Facilitate technical training sessions for new team members.
  • Analyze diverse data sources to derive valuable insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Apply appropriate techniques, design principles, modeling, and optimization to solve complex problems.
  • Drive the collection of new data and enhance existing data sources.
  • Define, develop, and implement best practices for data cleansing, validation, and quality control.
Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Under-Graduate degree in mathematics, computer science, finance, or business
  • 2-3 years experience in business intelligence, reporting or analytics; experience working with Microsoft PowerBI
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point)
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with Data Analysis, Modeling, Design and Documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of R or Python Programming Languages
