Data Analyst job description

We are looking for a enthusiastic, technology proficient seasoned Data Analyst to join our team of Engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • As the Customer Management Platform Data Analyst, you will be responsible for accuracy of enterprise data reporting while adhering to data governance policies.
  • This position partners with Data Governance, Engineering and Partner Leads to work across all relevant business functions to understand and translate Customer Master data into useful reports and dashboards - as you help to map current data model to enable the development of the Silver and Gold Layer w/in Data Bricks.
  • You will drive analysis of operational data to identify key insights and opportunities to improve the end-to-end data cleansing activities, data comparison reports highlighting any discrepancies.
  • Design, build, and apply visual solutions based on user requirements to provide insights to leadership and customer data management operations leads.
  • Support Data Bricks development through defining success criteria and STMs to ensure benefits are robust and mutually exclusive across business segments.
  • Develop and maintain centralized Customer Data Management-focused data mapping for consumption and reporting layers. Create and automate reporting and insights at scale that informs and influences business decisions.
Data Analyst job requirements

Min requirements:

  • Applicant must have a Bachelors/Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Systems Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience– preferably including experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company in an analytics-related occupation
  • Experience creating logical data models
  • Experience using SAP, Dimensional Reporting Solutions, Customer Data Management Platforms, etc.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with the team
  • A proven track record of delivering results (quality, time, budget) on globally and regionally based projects preferred

Must have experience in:

  • Strong experience analyzing structured data via SQL and unstructured data.
  • Deep experience using and data visualization within Data Bricks and Tableau.
  • Strong skillset in data analysis and exploration, cleansing and statistical analysis and evaluating data quality.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools like JIRA
  • Proven track record to influence and communicate effectively with team members and business partners.
  • Developing meaningful and effective KPIs
