Job Description & Responsibilities
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Data Analyst, Information Security to join our Cyber Data & Analytics, Information Security Division team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA; New York, NY; Woodland Park, NJ – HYBRID.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Review and analyze complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Provide direction and guidance on reports and analyzes and ensures recommendations are aligned with customer/business needs and capabilities.
- Consult with other IT areas and the businesses and provides professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure.
- Pursuing continuous cyber hygiene, control completeness, and effectiveness.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- 4+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experienced user with SQL (preferred), Confluence, Qlik Sense, Tableau, JIRA, and MS-Suites.
- Project management experience along with a knowledge and conceptual understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Communication skills must range from participation in technical discussions to business-oriented presentations while working closely with stakeholders and business partners.
- Experience in risk management, governance, and metrics reporting.
- Experience defining, implementing and monitoring IT risk management programs (end to end), including cyber security related risks. Able to identify operational roadblocks to ensure timely remediation and countermeasures.
- Experience understanding design and operating effectiveness of IT controls and industry related frameworks (i.e., Technology Control Framework (TCF).

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,000 and $116,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
