Data Analyst, HR job description

The HRIS Payroll & Data Analyst acts as a liaison between Human Resources users who have a business problem and helps to identify and provide solutions. A keen eye towards process automation is key and a coveted focus within this role. As the SME for our HRIS systems, you will partner with the Human Resources team and end users to provide HRIS administration and support.

Duties and responsibilities of the job include the following (but is not limited too):

  • Serves as a technical point-of-contact and Subject Matter Expert for Human Resources systems and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, analyzing data flows and identifying trends for process improvement opportunities and proper reporting.
  • Point person for the ADP Workforce Now (WFN) Managed Payroll solution.
  • Assists in the development of process and data controls to ensure data quality/data integrity within HR systems.
  • Collaborates with HR team members and other business stakeholders on the development of system requirements and testing plans.
  • Leads continuous improvement of HR system functionality and processes, providing innovative suggestions and solutions.
  • Provides end-user support, including researching and resolving HR system related issues.
  • Creates documentation for business processes and updates as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Data Analyst, HR job requirements

REQUIRED experience, education, and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Human Resources, or other related field or equivalent Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills.
  • 5+ years business analyst experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with ADP WFN and knowledge of payroll processing
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Perform quality work within determined timeframes.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, departments, divisions, etc.
  • Work on ad-hoc tasks, assignments and projects as needed.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, vendors and shareholders.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Greenhouse and BambooHR HRIS System.
  • Monday.com
  • Prior experience in Human Resources functions and/or Data Analyst experience.

Potential Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 annually

This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
