Senior Data Analyst, BI reporting job description

As a Sr. BI Reporting & Data Analyst you will be responsible for data modeling, visualization, and analysis to identify business opportunities for our Financial Distribution partners. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and develop solutions that drive strategic growth and forward-looking performance measurements. This role will also perform strategic third-party data integration (Market Metrics, LIMRA, & Discovery relationships) by partnering with external and IT for ongoing bi-directional ETL and exchange of data between Corebridge and third-party providers. The scope of this role will be diverse, from ad-hoc analysis to developing and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards to support data driven decision making.

About The Role

  • Perform data analysis, data modeling, and data visualizations to support business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate business processes, interpret, and analyze complicated large scale data sets from disparate systems.
  • Design and optimize data structures and data models for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Triage data issues, perform research & analysis required to determine root cause, and work with the IT and Business teams for remediation.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Qlikview, etc.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and procedures to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintain documentation or reporting and data solutions.
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics, working with large data sets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python, R) and experience with data modeling and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with data warehouse design and implementation, as well as ETL tools and processes
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis, as well as the ability to construct complex data queries and collaborate with colleagues
  • Experience in project management, including AGILE, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to liaison between lines of business and development teams, translating strategic goals into technology solutions, and vice versa
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail - ability to tenaciously drive execution of management priorities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. Salesforce and Cloud computing experience (AWS or Azure) preferred
