Job Description & Responsibilities
The Human Resource Analytics team at Citizens Bank leads the organization’s understanding of workforce insights and organizational health. We evaluate talent and culture information to make evidence-based decisions and create a stronger workplace experience.
In this role, you’ll experience new things, create new opportunities, think beyond your role, and make an impact. As the Senior Data Analyst, you will collect, organize, and prepare data for use in reporting and analytics models; you will conduct workforce analyses, identify root causes, and develop recommendations to influence business solutions and create compelling arguments for action.
You will be responsible for using various data mining techniques to produce analytical solutions and identify key process improvements. You will partner with various business stakeholders and are integral in developing strategic solutions based on rigorous data analysis. Primary responsibilities include:
Apply appropriate techniques for analyses to workforce and workplace data, including exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis, blend use of traditional statistics methodologies with newer techniques from computational statistics and data mining.
Develop strategic analyses and recommendations for business customers using principles of data storytelling and visualization to present data in a compelling manner.
Support ongoing evaluation of analytics solutions in terms of ROI and risk; ensure appropriate maintenance and reporting aligned with enterprise standards.
Build recurring business intelligence reports and insights to support business needs and HR processes; leverage tools, such as SQL, WebFocus, Tableau, and Excel, with large data sets to build analytics at scale.
Effectively communicate with cross-functional partners and internal teams to deliver solutions in a timely fashion; manage stakeholder expectations and escalations; resolve issues; educate partners on the different tools and services available.
Address ad hoc reporting and analytics requests, with an eye toward addressing the underlying business challenge and opportunities to encourage self-service and optimize HR and enterprise processes.
Create clear requirements for technology enhancements and business processes.
Assist with data hygiene, lineage and other data governance activities.
Work closely with analytics professionals on strategic projects.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on critical thinking and/or quantitative analysis
Experience with HR Data.
Experience presently findings from data analysis to key stakeholders.
Expertise solving complex quantitative problems with at least one scripting language (Python, R/R Studio, etc.) with appetite and aptitude to develop.
2+ years of experience working with SQL or relational database.
2+ years of experience with data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, Webfocus, MS PBI, Qlik, SAS VA, etc.) and analysis tools (e.g., R Studio, Python).
Power user in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, graphing functionality) and proficient in Power Point.
Experience manipulating large data sets and data management activities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgement and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.
Unparalleled attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Comfort with complexity, ambiguity, and change.
Demonstrated judgement and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues.
Preferred:
Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management System
Experience with people analytics.
Familiarity with risk management dimensions of banking sector
Project management skills: ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
Knowledge of JIRA and agile workforce management
What we offer
The salary range for this position is $92,000-$120,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
