Associate Data Analyst job description

As the Associate Data Analyst, you will participate in all aspects of the development and delivery of data projects and releases to support business objectives for Hilton. You will interact directly with business users, vendors, and support teams to identify and provide creative solutions in response to business concepts and questions to ensure data assets are delivered to a suitable standard. You will work closely with members of the EADT and end data users to build detailed designs, design and execute data validation plans, profile and analyze data, create and maintain meta data documentation, and deliver scheduled releases. You will bring a strong functional and technical background to help represent functional requirements. You will also partner with the data engineering, business teams and vendors to implement and deliver integrated solutions.

More Specifically, You Will

  • Work with business customers in anticipating and understanding business requirements and implementing data solutions.
  • Support work on projects to build, maintain and decommission key data assets across the Hilton Enterprise. Hold collaborator communication check points and ensure objectives are met
  • Define and maintain overview of metrics and data assets in a logically structured and easily understandable format
  • Create and update support documentation and review of work product
  • Effectively integrate, contribute, and overlap with other functions within Enterprise Architecture and Data team
  • Complete source to target mapping, data profiling, data validation, and data quality rules in support of data development work
  • Work with the Technical teams and business partners to articulate tasks, risks, dependencies, and data mitigation plans.
  • Work with data users across the enterprise to educate and provide support on available data products and their use

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Experience working in the technology-related field
  • Hands-on experience with data and business process modeling tools
  • Knowledge of AWS platform, Redshift preferred
  • Knowledge of using SQL queries
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Three (3) + years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
  • Exposure to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
  • Knowledge of Hospitality business preferred
