Business Intelligence Analyst, Automation job description

Job Description:

Everforth ECS is seeking a Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst to work remotely in the Washington, D.C. area to support a critical government client.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, PowerApps, Tableau, and other analytics tools, as well as a strong background working with financial systems — especially within the federal government sector. This role will provide technical support, develop and maintain dashboards, and make recommendations to customers based on industry best practices for managing and reporting contracts, payroll, forecasting, and other financial functions.

About the Job:

Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to empower the customer’s data driven decision making.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable data visualizations.

Provide technical support and training to end users on Power BI, and related tools.

Assist with data preparation, integration, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

Expertise in development, implementation, and maintenance of ETL processes to ensure efficient and accurate integration of data from multiple sources.

Analyze and interpret financial data related to contracts, payroll, forecasting, and other functions.

Recommend process improvements and best practices for managing and reporting financial information.

Develop and automate processes using Excel, VBA, and other automation tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Support general IT and analytics tasks as needed, including ad hoc reporting and data analysis.

Document solutions, workflows, and user guides to enhance operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Stay current with new features and best practices in business intelligence, automation, and financial systems.

Must have experience delivering solutions using the software development life cycle.

Business Intelligence Analyst, Automation job requirements

Required Skills:

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a Public Trust background check.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

10+ years of relevant work experience.

8+ years applicable experience.

5+ years experience with Microsoft PowerBI.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VBA for automation.

Proficiency in data management, SQL, and Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills:

Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain a national security clearance.

Experience working with financial systems, preferably within the federal government sector.

Strong understanding of contract management, payroll, forecasting, and related financial functions.

Ability to make recommendations to customers based on industry best practices.

Ability to work collaboratively and support multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Python/R & PL/SQL.

Proficiency with DAX expressions and M language.

Experience with PowerPlatform including PowerApps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and O365 tools and how they work together.

Familiar with Agile concepts.

Experience with UI/UX friendly dashboards.

Experienced with SharePoint Online and Teams.

Experience with additional analytics or automation tools (Tableau, UiPath, ServiceNow, etc.) a plus.

Experience with generative AI tools a plus.

Jira and Confluence experience a plus.
