Data Analyst job description

LevelTen Energy is seeking an experienced data analytics professional to model product health metrics, fulfill ad-hoc data requests and perform analysis on various energy market datasets. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Operational Analytics.

This role is based in Seattle and offers the option of a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office (in the Belltown neighborhood) and 2 days at home. Remote candidates will not be considered at this time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Product team to design and track product health metrics.
  • Build and maintain data visualizations for internal decision-making and external reporting.
  • Run ad-hoc platform data requests for internal teams.
  • Analyze datasets such as electricity prices, interconnection, grid emissions, etc.
  • Write documentation on internal datasets or analytics workflows.
  • Work collaboratively across the Product, Engineering, Developer Services and Customer Engagement teams to deliver data solutions and standard products for customer needs and product development
Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in data analytics and data visualization.
  • Proven analytical skills, with a focus on data wrangling and exploratory analysis.
  • Experience in MS Excel, Python scripting, SQL, and Tableau is required. Specific experience with pandas/polars/duckdb, dbt/Tableau Prep, Jupyter Notebooks, MySQL/PostgreSQL/BigQuery and version control is preferred.
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to message complex issues to a diverse audience.
  • Interest in financial modeling is a plus.
  • Experience in renewable energy, electricity markets, or sustainability is a plus.

  • The estimated compensation for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
