Machine Learning, Systems Evaluation Engineering Efficiency is a team responsible for the building and standardization of processes and tools across product teams. The team's aim is to improve the quality of the development and evaluation processes in a comprehensive manner. To drive the quality of the Siri user experience by ensuring our quality measurement of Siri product pre-release is predictive of user experience in production. As Siri evolves, testing methodologies and tools must respond to new complexities in order to provide consistent and reliable measurements. Siri product is delivered on all Apple platforms in 42 locales. Optimizing test and evaluation workflows, and collaborating with partner teams and driving what matters will be necessary to this role. Siri’s greatest asset and greatest challenge is its complexity. In this role, supporting Siri evolution starts with a deep understanding of how our tools and infrastructure work. Early detection of customer needs is important in this role. Enthusiasm for learning and asking the right questions will help bring that vision to life.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Key driver in defining business data/KPI requirements & roadmap across multiple partner teams
  • Work with multi-functional teams to align on data and process strategy for tools development and evaluation execution
  • DATA-DRIVEN DECISION SUPPORT REGARDING PRIORITIES, RISKS AND CRITICAL ISSUES
  • Answer sophisticated questions using data to clearly communicate findings to engineers, leadership and partners
Data Analyst job requirements
  • 5+ years proven experience of providing data analysis and insights for sophisticated, cross-functional programs from initiation to delivery in the software/technology field
  • Strong experience in reporting at a leadership level with solid skills in 1-2 reporting tools (Tableau, postgres, Superset, etc.)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels.
  • Work well in multi-functional teams as a constructive and effective member
  • Must be focused, self-motivated, and capable of working within a dynamic environment
  • High learning agility, and ability to learn a new technology as needed, with a proven analytical ability and curiosity
  • Able to provide opinions and has a strong opinion in executive level discussions.
  • Ideal candidate has experience with ML infrastructure and software development tools
  • Ability to mobilize, encourage, and lead teams without direct management authority.
  • Ability to lead teams of both internal and external cross- functional partners

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,000 and $230,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
