Data Analyst job description

The Data Analyst will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across various departments. This position involves working with data sets, utilizing analytical tools, and presenting findings to help the company achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection: Gather and consolidate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform business strategies and decisions.

  • Data Visualization: Create compelling and easy-to-understand visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.

  • Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analyses to provide deeper insights into data and validate hypotheses.

  • Data Cleansing: Clean, preprocess, and transform data as necessary to prepare it for analysis.

  • Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and actionable recommendations.

  • Data Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and provide actionable insights that drive business improvements.

  • Data Quality: Implement and maintain data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

  • Data Security: Adhere to data privacy and security protocols to protect sensitive information.

Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a data analyst or in a similar role, with a strong track record of data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other relevant tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
