Data Analyst job description

Join the OddBytes Team! Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and driving real impact? Reporting to the Director, Business Analytics Strategy, the Data Analyst works with a diverse, remote team spanning the US and EU to help drive business success through data-driven decisions. You’ll play a crucial role in analyzing data and collaborating with other teams to enhance their problem-solving capabilities and support their operational processes. Additionally, you'll assist in identifying product-market fit by addressing insights gleaned from data analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business teams to identify needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using a variety of tools.
  • Respond swiftly to same-day, ad-hoc queries.
  • Analyze business and system operations data to uncover trends and patterns.
  • Ensure data accuracy by investigating anomalies and cleaning data.
  • Identify opportunities and inefficiencies through analysis.
  • Present findings to groups including management and business leaders.
  • Assist in defining and documenting KPIs and metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and manage expectations.
Data Analyst job requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years in data reporting and querying.
  • Proficiency in querying log data, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
  • Strong mathematical, statistical, and cohort analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Google Analytics.
  • Creating user-friendly reports and dashboards.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and manage expectations.
  • Defining success metrics and KPIs.
  • Crafting compelling narratives backed by data insights and presenting those to various audiences.
