REMOTE (US)/Hybrid (Denver)

We are looking for a Payment Data Analyst to join the EverCommerce Payments Solutions team to focus on commerce enablement across the EverCommerce suite of Products. The EverCommerce Payment Solutions organization is focused on delivering unparalleled value to our customers through frictionless embedded payments and commerce solutions at scale. As a Data Analyst on the Payments Data Team, your primary role will be to bridge the gap between raw data and meaningful business insights. Through deep collaboration with our data engineers and scientists, you'll be instrumental in delivering actionable insights that empower our business users to make informed decisions.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Data Analyst with expertise in dissecting intricate datasets related to payments, including details from residual files, interchange, and platform transactional data. The right individual for this role will confidently draw insights from diverse sources, employing a spectrum of methods from basic data consolidation to advanced data investigations. As a Payment Data Analyst, your primary role will be to bridge the gap between raw data and meaningful business insights. Through deep collaboration with our data engineers and scientists, you'll be instrumental in delivering actionable insights that empower our business users to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Delve into datasets to illuminate patterns, trends, and anomalies, transforming these observations into actionable business recommendations.
  • Deep dive into transaction data to analyze costs associated with various transactions, identify revenue streams, margin gaps, and extract insights to optimize profitability.
  • Foster a seamless partnership with data engineers across EverCommerce to ensure the precision and availability of data.
  • Engage with data scientists to interpret intricate models for pragmatic business use.
  • Serve as the pivotal connection between technical teams and business units, ensuring that data-driven insights are not just accessible but are also meaningful and actionable.
  • Proactively pinpoint areas for potential revenue growth, cost reduction, and overall process enhancement.
Data Analyst job requirements

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with a significant focus on financial, cost, or revenue analysis.
  • Prior experience in the payments, fintech, or finance industry is highly desirable.
  • Mastery of SQL and proficiency in data visualization tools like Looker, or Power BI.
  • A keen understanding of financial metrics and principles, with the ability to translate them into data-driven insights.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and communicate complex findings in a digestible format.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A curious, analytical mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.

Where: This is a remote, US based position, some travel required for quarterly events and on-sight partner meetings. The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:

EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 USD Per Year. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
