Data Analyst, Digital Marketing job description

The Digital Marketing Data Analyst will be a hands-on contributor in defining and delivering world-class analytics insights for the Dematic marketing team. This role is a central (global) position supporting performance marketing needs for key channels, geographic regions, and teams. Reporting to the Global Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, the specialist will be leading the discovery, validation, and summarizing of data related to marketing channels and campaign efforts. From this, the analyst will assemble cross-channel insights, deliver reporting, and drive the optimization of communication campaigns. Serving as a subject matter expert for data analysis, the specialist will be responsible for the following areas below.

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Multi-channel marketing data analysis (sourcing, validating, and summarizing channel data)
  • Establishing marketing diagnostic and business KPIs and assuming responsibility for standard real-time dashboard reporting for the global business
  • Connecting marketing data to business outcomes as recorded in Salesforce (mapping inquiry data from Conversion to MQLs to Lead to Opportunity and resulting Sales)
  • Delivery of fact-based insights to channel and campaign leads; Leading regular review meetings to drive optimization and decision making
  • Measure and evaluate campaign performance, informing strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting, while enhancing overall marketing process, technology, and workflow
  • Researching and recommendation of measurement technology platforms and methodologies; Propose approaches and tools for company adoption
  • Develop attribution approach and ROI computation, by channel and campaign
  • Gather market research and competitive intelligence through a variety of tools and resources
Data Analyst, Digital Marketing job requirements

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) in Marketing Analytics, Business or Decision Sciences
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with digital marketing analytics in a B2B environment
  • Hands-on experience in sourcing/consolidation of marketing data for purposes of generating insights
  • Knowledgeable with common data sources across digital platforms and the extraction/reporting of meaningful data elements from Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Google Search Console, HotJar, social platforms, tag management systems, and virtual event platforms
  • Understanding of Salesforce data structures and flows
  • Demonstrated experience with building channel reports and trouble-shooting technical implementation of real-time dashboard technologies
  • Expert proficiency with excel, including Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and other advanced formula-building skills
  • PowerPoint proficiency: Able to build visualizations and presentations to effectively communicate insights
  • Google Data Studio, PowerBI, or other dashboarding tools
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, without much direction, and as part of an integrated cross-functional team
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
