Data Analyst, Direct Marketing (CONTRACT)

Job Description & Responsibilities
This contract role is for an experienced marketing or business analyst with SQL experience. This person will be responsible for data production for reporting and will assist in ad-hoc analysis with the strategy team. The ideal candidate will have experience using SQL and pivot tables. Experience with Tableau is desired but not required.
● Load data into an AWS Postgres database.
● Run ETL scripts that will prepare data for reporting and analysis.
● QC new data and work with teams to resolve issues.
● Run queries for ad-hoc reporting.
● Work with internal stakeholders to understand analytical objectives and define requirements.
● Present analysis and recommendations to management.
● Collaborate across teams to uncover trends by channel for acquisition, conversion, and retention fundraising campaigns.
● Reporting: Assist in the Creation and management of KPIs, holistic dashboards, and pivot tables, Long-Term Value, and testing.
Requirements
● 3-7 years in an analytics role in Direct Marketing / Database Marketing
● SQL & Strong MS Excel skills required.
● Ability to thrive in change. Fast, flexible, cooperative work style with ability to reprioritize.
● Detail oriented, with strong mathematical, analytical and reporting skills.
● Must be able to understand and analyze data, synthesizing large volumes of data and complex questions into clear analyses and actionable findings.
● Excellent data visualization and communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings to stakeholders at all levels.
● Familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools
● Direct marketing in the nonprofit/fundraising/political sector
● Experience with direct mail, digital campaigns, telemarketing and/or email campaign reporting and analysis.
● Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts.
What we offer
As this is a contract role no company sponsored benefits are offered.
Position pays $40.00 -$45.00/hour, 20-40 hours/week depending on contractor availability. Assignment would be approximately 2-3 months.
