Data Analyst, Financial job description

The Financial Data Analyst will be part of our Procurement team. This individual will support the project management, analytics, and administration for the Commodities Inflation Analysis at Diversey. This role interfaces with all functions within the global organization and provides an excellent opportunity to learn the business and partner with key stakeholders globally. This role reports to the Director of Procurement and is based out of our global headquarters in Fort Mill, SC, just outside of Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management across the global Direct and Indirect Procurement team
  • Manage Procurement process including identifying milestones, tracking sourcing events, and developing various types of financial models and reports
  • Collaborate with Procurement Category Managers to provide analytical support to achieve best in class in terms of simplicity and efficiency.
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to identify the cost drivers and communicate the outcomes and possible solutions.
  • Analyze spending and market inflation data with a critical eye to identify patterns and savings opportunities
  • Build robust PowerPoint presentations that tell the story of the analytics with graphs, charts, and concise summaries
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to provide more robust support and alignment of savings results

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing data and summarizing key points for stakeholders
  • Demonstrated advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills – sorts through data in Excel and/or Tableau to create financial models, graphs, and charts to incorporate these into PowerPoint presentations in a way that is clear to stakeholders
  • Data modeling experience (SQL or Power BI/Tableau)
  • Python-R experience
  • Cross-functional collaborations skills – partners with teams to balance solutions in accordance with budget, schedule, and tools
  • Facilitation skills – effectively and professionally lead group discussions
  • Prioritization skills – follow through and adheres to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented – accurately enters data and develops accurate written materials
  • Action-orientated – follow-up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
  • Team-oriented – establishes solid working relationships with stakeholders
  • Communication skills – communicates with peers, customers, and vendors both via verbal and written communication in a professional manner
  • Technical communication skills – effectively communicate technical concepts, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in management consulting and/or finance industries.

Salary & Benefits

  • The current pay range for this position is $62,000 – $80,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon, but may not be limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws
  • For 2023, this position is eligible for a bonus target of 7.5% in accordance with the bonus plan.

As a full-time employee of Diversey, you will be eligible to enroll in our robust benefits package on your first day which includes, but is not limited to, the following.
