Data Analyst, FP&A job description

Position Summary:

As a Data Analyst, you will support data transformation and visualization efforts by developing ETL processes, uncovering insights, and building dashboards that highlight key business metrics. Working closely with our team, you will provide subject-matter expertise across our operating platform, visualization tools, and data warehouse framework. The ideal candidate is skilled in data analytics and dashboard development, communicates complex data concepts clearly, and brings a thoughtful, structure approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage SQL to aggregate and process large data sets across multiple data sources, including custom views and stored procedures

Design and implement Incorta dashboards to visualize key business metrics and company-wide reporting

Build, validate, and maintain ETL pipelines across platforms – identify appropriate data sources, write scripts, develop visualizations, and iterate as needed

Translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business users in a clear, concise manner

Partner with the FP&A team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver insights that drive strategic planning, operational efficiency, and financial performance

Maintain and improve documentation for data sources, structures, and processes

Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned

Data Analyst, FP&A job requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field (required)

Strong proficiency in SQL (SQL Server and PostgreSQL), including scripting, aggregation functions, and query optimization techniques

Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark scripting.

Experience with BI Analytics tools such as Tableau, Incorta, or other BI platforms.

Experience or familiarity with database modeling and database management best practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Proven ability to independently learn and apply new tools, technologies, and processes.

Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
