About Wellth

Our healthcare system assumes we make decisions based on what is best for us. But it’s not that simple. Everyday stressors often cloud our judgement as to what’s best in the long run. For people with chronic conditions, this can make healthy habit formation difficult.

Wellth is a venture-backed digital health company that improves adherence in chronic disease populations. Using the science of behavioral economics—combined with an appreciation for human nature—we uncover and address the unique obstacles that prevent people with chronic conditions from improving patient outcomes. Our program goes beyond current efforts to boost adherence with technology, reminders, and coaching solutions using contingency management and loss aversion to create motivation, behavior change and improve population health at scale.

In addition to our RCT-proven outcomes, our easy-to-use mobile platform experience has been proven by health plans, providers, and other organizations to empower members with the incentives and support system they need to establish new healthy habits. Key outcomes for members include improved med and care plan adherence, reduction in readmissions, hospitalizations, and ED utilization, improved PDC, and more.

Data Analyst, Health job description

We seek to motivate and incentivize healthy habits through individualized care plans. Our approach draws on a unique combination of behavioral economics, habit science, and cutting-edge technology to drive positive behavior and habit change among some of the US's most underserved and high-needs patient populations. Our work has produced demonstrable results, with several large health insurers reporting significant reductions in hospitalization rates by up to 44% in some cases. Our ambition is to be more than just another digital health startup; we aspire to be a category leader in the $88B health outcomes market, singularly focused on improving the lives and medical outcomes of historically hard-to-engage populations. Our work immediately impacts people's lives daily; we have served over 30,000 patients, prevented an estimated 9,000 days in the hospital, and saved 320 lives.

You will have the opportunity to solve interesting healthcare data problems.

Specifically, you will:

  • Perform pre-sales data analysis to propose target patient cohorts.
  • Develop visualization that persuades potential customers of our Wellth program ROI.
  • Negotiate data formats with customers to feed ETL processes.
  • Write data quality validations in tools like Great Expectations.
  • Create and validate conversion from customer-delivered formats to standard Wellth format.
  • Perform post-sales data analysis to finalize target cohort patient selection.
  • Perform internal analyses to assist product and operations teams.
  • Assist with Quarterly Business Review report generation.
  • Work closely with the internal data analysis and engineering team on recommendations for improving infrastructure, pipelines, security, and operations.

You will be a member of a diverse and supportive team.

You will work with:

  • Sales leaders on supporting pre-sale, post-sale, quarterly, and ongoing customer engagements.
  • Product leaders on cohort patient selection and product marketing initiatives.
  • Data engineers on establishing standard operating procedures for data operations and gathering customer data requirements for bespoke solutions.
  • Senior leaders to assist with their customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Our Manager of Data Engineering on your career development, supporting your technical and leadership growth.
