Data Analyst, Ingestion & Operations job description

YOUR TEAM

The mission of the Data Organization within Nuna is to empower industry-wide value-based care adoption by leveraging data-driven insights for the enhancement of value-based payment operations, population management, decision making, and patient outcomes in an efficient, secure, and ethical manner. The primary objective of the Data Organization is to harness healthcare data to support and promote value-based care contracts between health systems, providers, health plans, and other third-party risk bearing entities; incentivize quality, utilization, and patient outcomes.

Quality and Data Operations is at the core of Nuna’s promise to deliver exceptional and actionable data insights to our clients. We are responsible for the scalable comprehension, ingestion, cleaning, and deploying of client data on schedule - ensuring data gets where it needs to go within the company. YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

  • Extract, transform and load data from source to target through multiple stages and maintain and ensure monthly data updates are delivered on-time to our customers
  • Gain insight into client facing data operations by contributing to mapping documents and technical requirements
  • Identification of functional data needs and pain points by operationalizing value based payment arrangements. Gain exposure to standard data transformation processes by organizing and managing large datasets
  • Use your knowledge of SQL to configure data quality rules based on business requirements and perform ad hoc data analysis. Expand technical knowledge by identifying inefficiencies and testing improvements
  • Serve as a technical resource in resolving client issues related to database or other data issues
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, and Design to identify opportunities for process stability and cross functionality to better serve customer needs
Data Analyst, Ingestion & Operations job requirements

QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record working with data warehouse and ETL architectures
  • Ability to use SQL or other query and scripting languages to aggregate, gather and manipulate data through investigation or routine processes
  • A history of working with cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience with data quality processes, data quality checks, validations, data quality metrics definition and measurement
  • Ability to construct and debug complex SQL queries.
  • Ability to operate with cross-functional teams (e.g. health data analysts, engineers, product, etc.)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with challenging clients
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings
  • A driven, proactive, positive, and transparent attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare data such as claims, member data and quality data
  • Familiarity with value based care and alternative payment methods
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
