Data Analyst, Reinsurance job description

Business Intelligence Analyst will be expected to gather, interrogate and leverage data across multiple platforms both internally and externally in order to develop insights that will assist management with making better business decisions. You will be expected to extract and analyze data from multiple, disparate data sources to expose and understand trends as well as create conclusions with actionable steps based on the data. Creating dashboards that can be used to drive outcomes and decisions that drive business value is a critical component of this role. You will be expected to use various tools, techniques, and methods to increase insight in to the business, with the ability to present findings clearly to executive leadership. You will collaborate and build relationships across multiple areas of the organization and teams to facilitate delivery of meaningful solutions.

Data Analyst, Reinsurance job requirements

Requirements

  • Data Analytics Specialist will be expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with, analyze, and understand large amounts of data. Must have strong skills in data visualization and data presentation. Extensive experience with PowerBI is required.
  • Strategic thinking and planning with regard to design decisions for the build out of a data science program and team.
  • Must have strong communication skills. Meeting directly with management team to understand business challenges/issues and be able to translate those requirements into data analytics.
  • You will also be expected to demonstrate a strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills with the ability to understand trends and create conclusions based on findings in data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Analytical programming skills and data modeling experience using a variety of modeling techniques.
  • Must be familiar with good development methodologies and data modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Assist in development of business requirements documentation and user acceptance test (UAT) execution.
  • Completion of ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by the Manager.

Salary range is $125,000 - $135,000.
