Data & Insights Analyst job description

Position Summary:

The Data & Insights Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to provide actionable business insights. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to understand information needs, develop reporting solutions, and support strategic and operational decision‑making. The analyst will design dashboards, identify performance trends, evaluate business processes, and deliver clear recommendations that help drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall organizational growth. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to communicate findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Build and maintain data infrastructure pipelines from key operational and financial sources to enterprise data warehouse (Snowflake)

Develop robust models that connect operational metrics to financial outcomes, enabling enhanced visibility and rapid decision making

Maintain clear, accurate documentation of data policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance

Create and maintain effective dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide stakeholders with actionable insights

Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data by auditing, debugging, and resolving data quality issues

Identify areas for improved efficiency and performance through automation and streamlining of existing processes

Data & Insights Analyst job requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Robust knowledge and proficiency of SQL and DAX for data manipulation and modeling, particularly with PowerBI

Effective visualization skills, with experience creating interactive dashboards and reports to drive meaningful insights

Ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation of data policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency

Strong critical‑thinking skills to identify trends, evaluate performance, and develop recommendations that support strategic and operational goals.

Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings in a concise and compelling manner to stakeholders across the organization.
Strong partnership skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related quantitative field.

2+ years of relevant experience in analytics/data engineering related roles

Experience in industrial sector such as waste management, logistics or manufacturing highly preferred
