The Opportunity:

You’re ready to put your analytical skills to work on problems that matter. As a Junior Data Analyst at J-Mack Technologies supporting the VA Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), you will help transform complex datasets into actionable insights that improve outcomes for Veterans. This role is ideal for an early-career analyst with a strong foundation in statistics, programming, and data-driven problem solving who is eager to grow in a mission-focused environment.

What You’ll Do:

Analyze and prepare data needed for modeling and ad hoc analyses

Develop advanced algorithms that solve problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner

Implement statistical and data mining techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval processes) on large amounts of data to identify trends, patterns, and other relevant information

Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to effectively integrate and communicate analysis findings

Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies that may supplement existing analytical platforms

Junior Data Analyst job requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of data analytics experience

Hands-on experience preparing data for advanced analytics

Hands-on experience with advanced analytics concepts and algorithms (e.g., Regression Analysis, Logistic Regression/Decision Tree, Monte Carlo methods, Survival Analysis, Simulation, etc.)

Proficiency in programming languages including SQL, Python, and R

Ability to obtain Background Investigation Clearance.

Nice to Have:

Fraud or Anomaly Detection experience

PowerBI dashboard development experience

Experience using RStudio

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS

Experience with DevOps tools and workflows such as Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, or equivalents
