Principal Data Analyst job description

Duties: Lead a team of programmers/data engineers for gathering, structuring, and analyzing data to support Discover modeling needs. Support the development and automation of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.

Principal Data Analyst job requirements

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or a related field and 48 months of experience in Software Engineer or related occupation.

Position required skills: Four (4) years of experience in job offered or related occupation: utilizing SQL for table creation and data selection using Joins, Unions, Group By, Row Number, and Sub Queries; performing Source to Destination mapping and transformations using ETL tools, including SSIS, AB lnitio, or Informatica; querying databases and performing database and application migration, database security, report creation, and data integration; querying Snowflake databases and creating Tables and Views using Snowflake; and performing data mining, data validation, quality checks, and database testing, and utilizing tables and views to ensure data quality.

Rate of Pay: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,584.00 to $145,700.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
