Senior BI Development Analyst job description

The Sr. BI Development Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable analytics solutions that support Post Market Quality (PMQ) surveillance, early signal detection, and product performance monitoring. This role builds interactive dashboards, automated reporting pipelines, and analytical models using governed data sources in collaboration with Corporate Quality and Corporate IT.

The Analyst ensures high data quality through rigorous validation, partners with PMQ Specialists and Post Market Surveillance Engineers to strengthen KPI frameworks,and contributes to predictive analytics capabilities that enhance visibility into product risks and customer experience. This position plays a key role in maturing the analytics infrastructure required to support divisional and cross enterprise post market insights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

Dashboard & Analytics Development:

Design, build, and maintain scalable, interactive Power BI dashboards for post market surveillance, complaint trending, and quality performance

Translate analytical requirements from PMQ Specialists, PQEs, and PMS Engineers into intuitive, actionable visualizations

Develop automated data workflows and reporting tools to reduce manual effort and improve timeliness of post market insights

Data Modeling & Infrastructure:

Build and maintain analytical and statistical models to support trend detection, anomaly identification, and early signal analytics

Collaborate with Corporate IT to ensure proper use of governed semantic models and alignment with enterprise data architecture

Structure PMS datasets for downstream analytics, ensuring models and dashboards remain scalable and maintainable as data complexity grows

Data Validation & Quality:

Perform rigorous data validation, completeness checks, and accuracy verification to maintain high‑quality PMS datasets
Identify data quality issues, propose corrective actions, and partner with Corporate Quality, PQEs, and IT to drive resolution
Cross Functional Collaboration

Partner with PMQ Specialists to support KPI development, trend analysis, and metric reporting (including COPQ and customer‑experience KPIs)

Collaborate with the Post Market Surveillance Engineers on advanced analytics, model development, and early‑signal detection

Work with Corporate Quality and Corporate IT to align divisional analytics tools with enterprise governance, security, and data‑management standards

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve efficiency across PMS analytics workflows

Recommend enhancements to data models, dashboards, and analytical processes that support divisional quality and customer‑experience goals

Stay current on BI best practices, analytics technologies, and data‑visualization trends to elevate the maturity of PMS analytics

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, validation procedures, and data‑flow logic

Provide slide deck data, extracts, and analytics summaries to support investigations, review boards, and leadership reporting

Ensure all analytics tools and reporting outputs meet corporate standards for accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance

Senior BI Development Analyst job requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or related technical field required.

Experience:

Typically 5 plus years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or analytics engineering roles.

Experience developing BI dashboards (Power BI strongly preferred) and working with governed semantic models.

Experience in medical device, regulated, or quality‑related environments preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency with Power BI

Strong understanding of data validation, statistical analysis, and exploratory data analysis

Ability to translate complex analytical needs into intuitive dashboards and tools

High attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation discipline

Strong communication skills for cross‑functional work and presenting analytical insights

What we offer at Hologic

The annualized base salary range for this role is $94,000 - $147,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
