Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst Senior on the Catastrophe Analytics team (CAT) within the Catastrophe Modeling Research & Development (R&D) department, you’ll support a fast-paced environment and routinely manage multiple priorities. In this high visibility role, you’ll handle ad-hoc requests, evaluate complex “what if” scenarios, and work with large, complex datasets to support catastrophe modeling and high-impact business decisions. You’ll help assess risk, support the allocation of reinsurance costs and capital, and provide impactful reporting & data visualization solutions. You’ll also contribute to ongoing data migration and architecture efforts, helping modernize systems and support scalable cloud-based solutions.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
A minimum of six years of analytical work experience.
{OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five years of analytical work experience.
{OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of three years analytical work experience.
Preferred skills:
Advanced proficiency in software tools such as Snowflake, SQL, R, and Python.
Advanced usage of data visualization tools such as: Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS
Experience with industry-leading catastrophe modeling software such as AIR, KCC, or RMS
