The Opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding the business needs and translating those requirements to Information Technology, increasing the analytics competency across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of a Tableau center of excellence
  • Create training material to raise the competency of analytics across Delaware North
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to research, analyze, and configure complex data sources according to business needs
  • Manage projects to scope requirements for data marts to be used for analysis and coordinate input and approvals from multiple stakeholders across Delaware North
  • Build reports and dashboards that enable managers, operators, and team members to better understand our business and facilitate key decisions
  • Identify gaps in reporting and business intelligence capabilities needed by divisions/departments and work on long-term solutions to meet these needs
  • Create reports and analyze data for departments that do not have analytics support
  • Participate in the identification, definition, and testing of company-wide metrics
  • Run cross-departmental projects with multiple contributors
  • Work independently with leaders across the company to identify opportunities for new data analysis and development of new self-service tools to improve productivity and outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with other analytics teams to implement new functions and data across the broader scope of the company
  • Mentor other Analysts and help them grow their skills drive growth
  • A thought leader who influences and collaborates across the enterprise
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a strong sense of curiosity
  • Faces organizational challenges with energy and resiliency
Senior Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience working in quantitative/data analyst roles with hospitality, food and beverage, and retail experience preferred
  • Ability to train and administer the tool sets (data visualization and analytics tool sets – Tableau, PowerBI, TAMR, R, Python, SQL)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of standard data models/schemas

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $70700 - $93700 / year
