Senior Data Analyst, Finance job description

As a member of the data team, you will collaborate with the Finance team & other business teams to drive conversations and decisions across the organization using data. In this role you will be analyzing customer journeys to drive conversion, retention and LTV impact across the organization. A successful candidate will thrive while working cross functionally and can comfortably navigate conversations with engineers and business partners alike.

What you'll do

  • Building financial models and other cohort based models for planning and forecasting
  • Analyzing our subscription business and the subscription lifecycle
  • Supporting new product initiatives and modeling for new business opportunities
  • Defining and building KPIs to help measure the overall performance of our business and product initiatives
  • Develop and maintain valuable relationships with business stakeholders

Your day-to-day will focus on supporting finance initiatives, helping to measure the success and progress of our business, and identify data driven opportunities for improvement. On the Data Analytics team, we strive to ensure the quality of our work through code reviews and pair programming and promote best practices for workflow management and toolset adoption across the team.

Required Skills

  • Prior experience with subscription businesses and subscription data models required. Flexible on leveling depending on experience.
  • Expert Excel or Google Sheets – this role partners closely with our Finance team who live and breathe Excel
  • Experience with SQL (you enjoy it & are curious to learn more!) We write lots of SQL. You will be expected to build your own datasets
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter, comfort with ambiguity, expert cross functional communication with engineering and business partners alike

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus
  • Experience with Github (or similar) is a plus
  • Experience with A/B testing design and analysis is a plus

Our titles cover more than one career level. The starting range for this role is $150,000 to $160,000 a year. Actual base pay may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, education and years of experience. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus program.
