Senior Data Analyst, Marketing job description

We are in search of a highly skilled and versatile Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will not only excel in building and maintaining complex templates, databases, and forms but will also demonstrate expertise in advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. The candidate should be proficient in utilizing a range of tools and technologies, including MS Office Suite, SQL, Python or R programming, and cloud platforms. This individual should possess a strategic mindset, be adept at creating compelling visualizations using Power BI or Tableau, and be able to articulate complex data insights through strategic stories and presentations using PowerPoint.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and analyze data,and identifygaps and opportunities, as well as, solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis using statistical methods, and interpret results to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Utilize SQL to efficiently manage and query databases, extracting and manipulating data as needed for analysis.
  • Implement data cleaning and preprocessing techniques to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Apply programming skills in Python or R to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data analysis capabilities, and support statistical modeling.
  • Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau for effective data visualization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide analytical support for various initiatives.
  • Utilize version control systems, such as Git, to manage and track changes to code and data.
  • Apply machine learning concepts to enhance predictive analytics capabilities if relevant to organizational needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of business processes, aligning data analysis efforts with strategic organizational goals.
  • Maintain awareness of data privacy regulations and security best practices to ensure responsible handling of sensitive information.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and leverage cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Data analytics, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Must be highly analytical
  • Ability to build insights and present business solutions
  • Prepare data, analyze data and bridgegaps and opportunities, as well as, solutions.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python/R Programming, Version Control Systems (Git), Automation Skills (e.g., VBA), Machine Learning Concepts, and Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analysis role.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing datasets to solve business problems.
  • Strong skillset in Business Intelligence tools, ideally Looker.
  • Problem solver with ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and workload.
  • Data Privacy and Security Awareness.
  • Demonstrated experience in Statistical Analysis, Project Management, and Business Acumen.
