Senior Data Analyst, Security job description

RingCentral understands that security, global availability, and always-on reliability are marketplace differentiators. RingCentral services must deliver robust functionality that is secure and reliable for customers, and their employees and customers, no matter where they are. The RingCentral CISO team, Information Security, is committed to working with network and application teams to realize service security. Within Information Security specifically, the Security Trust team is focused on trust and enablement: the provision of Security Trust assets to Sales, with which to communicate Information Security’s achievements in order to engender customer and public trust in RingCentral and our service.

The Data Analyst, Security uses this understanding of security and sales enablement along with strong skills in data analysis to identify patterns and gaps in Security Trust’s program activities. The Data Analyst will work with the team in order to collaborate on requirements, gather data on a regular cadence, and compile analyses and represent them to a variety of enterprise audiences.

This will be an exciting opportunity to grow in and contribute to a security concentration that is quickly evolving and highly relevant. The Data Analyst is a professional who is excited by the explosion of advancements occurring in both security and data. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use tools such as PowerBI and Tableau to present a single pane of glass view to leadership, capturing the Security Trust team’s sales enablement data and statistics. Very importantly, this reporting will show growth, pain points, and related data that will help the team address and/or enhance aspects of our activities and directions in a proactive fashion.
  • Maintain up-to-date representation of Security Trust team activities’ ROI. This includes measurement of field team exposure to trust assets, and tracking how the assets enable revenue.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on platform and service metrics.
  • Design and integrate tools to support program needs of reporting on sales enablement.
  • Partner with other stakeholders to help improve Security Trust tools and processes.
  • Design and develop dashboards that enable 360° view of Security Trust asset exposure and utilization.
  • Aggregate information from various data security streams and provide state-of-the-art metrics that are transparent and reliable, and which reflect the reality of the various Security Trust assets, including security and awareness training accomplishments.
  • Good communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Senior Data Analyst, Security job requirements

Education And Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Solid data mining and analysis experience is a plus; DB/data warehouse experience desired
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • 1-3 years experience in security & trust field helpful
  • Attention to detail in a well-controlled environment
  • Knowledge of message logging (Splunk,SysLog, ELK) preferred
  • Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
  • Good understanding of basic statics and Machine Learning techniques
  • PowerBI or Tableau experience is a plus

If you are hired in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $101,700.00 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
