Job Description & Responsibilities
About the Role:
We’re looking for a senior Forwardly Deployed Reporting Analyst to serve as a key client-facing partner for reporting, analytics, and data validation across Salve implementations. In this role, you’ll work directly with operators and executives to understand reporting needs, investigate data quality issues, define source-of-truth logic, and deliver clear, reliable analytics that support day-to-day decision-making.
This is a hybrid role by design: part analyst, part technical consultant, part client partner. One hour, you might be leading a client conversation about KPI definitions or reporting gaps; the next, you might be reconciling data across systems, validating transformations, building reporting logic, or troubleshooting discrepancies in the analytics layer.
You will be the face of Salve in many client-facing meetings, so exceptional English communication skills — both written and verbal — are essential. You should be articulate, confident, professional on camera, and comfortable engaging with both executive stakeholders and day-to-day operators.
Internally, you’ll work closely with Salve leadership and cross-functional teams, including the CTO and Head Engineer for technical direction, the Business Analyst on requirements, the Head of Customer Ops on client communication, and the CEO on roadmap and contractual changes. You’ll also collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure reporting outputs are accurate, scalable, and aligned with client needs.
What You’ll Do:
Own client-facing reporting and analytics work across onboarding, implementation, ongoing delivery, and strategic planning
Translate business questions and operational goals into KPI definitions, reporting requirements, and analytics specifications
Perform analytical work across client environments, including data validation, source-of-truth reconciliation, KPI mapping, and BI/reporting setup within our analytics layer (Salve SOL/Snowflake)
Investigate discrepancies across ERP, POS, ecommerce, and compliance systems to identify root causes and restore trust in reporting
Partner with clients to define reporting logic, metrics, filters, and business rules in a way that is both accurate and operationally useful
Build and maintain client-specific reporting documentation, metric definitions, and data runbooks
Support QA and validation efforts for integrations by confirming downstream reporting accuracy and completeness
Surface patterns, edge cases, and reporting gaps that can inform internal improvements to the platform and product roadmap
Requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in analytics, BI, solutions consulting, forwardly deployed analytics, or a similar client-facing technical role
Located within 2 hours of US Eastern Time, with reliable overlap during EST business hours
Exceptional English communication skills, written and verbal; this is a highly client-facing role with regular video calls
Strong analytical instincts; you notice when the numbers do not add up and investigate until they do
Experience working across operational systems and data platforms to reconcile, validate, and explain business-critical metrics
Comfortable leading client conversations, building trust with senior stakeholders, and translating ambiguity into structured reporting solutions
Familiarity with data modeling, transformations, and modern BI/reporting workflows
Self-directed and highly accountable; you can operate effectively without heavy process or detailed day-to-day oversight
Brings humility, professionalism, and a collaborative attitude that teammates and clients enjoy working with
Experience operating at a senior level, with the judgment to context-switch across clients, prioritize effectively, and push back on unclear or shifting requirements when necessary
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Omni, Sigma, Looker, Metabase, or similar reporting and analytics tools
Great problem-solving skills, capable of architecting data solutions and workflows that meet the diverse needs of enterprise clients
Nice to Have's:
Experience working with ERP, POS, eCommerce, and retail data models
Experience in regulated industries such as cannabis, nicotine, alcohol, or pharma
Familiarity with compliance systems or Seed-to-Sale platforms
Background at a startup, consultancy, or similarly fast-moving environment where you wore multiple hats
What we offer
Location
Remote, with required working-hour overlap within 2 hours of US Eastern Time. Occasional travel for client onboarding or team on-sites may be expected.
Terms & Compensation
This role begins as a 90-day contract-to-hire position, with the intention of converting the candidate to full-time based on performance and overall fit. The expected annual salary for the full-time position is $100,000 to $130,000, depending on experience level.
