About the role:

Are you a strong, product-focused analyst and want to work at one of Seattle’s most successful startups? OfferUp is currently seeking an analyst to join the Product Operations team and support data-driven decision-making and influence product strategy across the company.

In this role, your business acumen and analytical mindset will help drive product development and revenue optimization decisions across OfferUp. You will synthesize large data sets into meaningful and actionable insights in support of company goals. We are looking for a critical thinker with strong quantitative skill, intellectual curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to roll up one’s sleeves.

This role is a hybrid role and requires you to be in the Bellevue, Washington office at least 2 days a week.

Provide comprehensive analytic support across OfferUp product/business teams and other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Conduct in-depth business performance analysis and dive deep into value drivers to identify improvement areas and opportunities.

Partner with the product teams to define success criteria of new product features and measure feature performance against those criteria.

Measure and analyze experiments.

Communicate key data and findings to audiences, including business unit executives.

Create dashboards to support self-service insights for new business initiatives and features.

Senior Product Operations Analyst job requirements

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

3-5 years of work experience in a business planning, related role with an emphasis on quantitative skills

Skilled at breaking down complex business or product questions from all possible angles to garner key insights. You enjoy using data to answer challenging questions that inform key business decisions

Strong analytical skills and familiarity with leveraging data to address business questions. Ability to think comprehensively with high attention to detail. You have experience with data visualization tools, excel, and sql.

Expertise in unifying multiple complex data sets and business logic into a central source of truth.

Strong problem solver who inspires trust from your business partners.

Self-starter with a strong work ethic. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are scrappy and resourceful, and know how to do more with less.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Fast learner. You grasp new concepts quickly and are adept at applying tools, skills and knowledge to new situations.

Helpful, but not required:

BA/BS degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field strongly preferred

Background in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy, or an operational or growth role within a technology company

In regard to vacation time, OfferUp has a flexible vacation policy, and, in general, full-time, exempt employees will be expected to take 3-5 weeks (15-30 days) of pre-planned vacation time per year. Vacation needs are flexible and will naturally vary from year to year based on individual circumstances and business needs. In regard to sick time, all full-time employees (exempt and non-exempt) will be granted 12 days (96 hours) of sick time per year (pro-rated if the start date is other than January 1).
