Data Analyst job description

We're looking for an experienced Data Analyst that will be responsible for up-leveling Brook's business and population health reporting at Brook. Your role is to transform data into insights that impact business value and help our partners manage their patient populations. You will use data analytics and visualization techniques to identify trends that guide company-wide business decisions to improve our business performance. You will enable robust internal and external reporting on product and business performance, and create visualizations that communicate findings to others in the organization and to our partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join a fast-growing digital health company in a critical role that helps define and build new ways for people and their health providers to manage chronic conditions. This role reports to the Chief Product Officer.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate and utilize BI tools, practices and reports to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, including Tableau and Mixpanel
  • Become an expert in Brook's business, financials, KPIs, population health, and associated drivers, and the data stack supporting tracking and reporting
  • Build, maintain, and enhance ad hoc and automated reporting on Brook's business and population health metrics. Through access to data and reports, enable all teams at Brook to access, understand, and drill down into the data they need to run the business and measure results
  • Telling a story with the data by ensuring that reporting is displayed to convey key messages and insights
  • Collaborate with teams across the company, including Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Clinic Success, and Sales to collect data, define and assess key metrics that drive business decisions
  • Partner with engineering to document and maintain a single source of truth set of underlying data tables for access by business users/analysts Take ownership of automating internal and external reporting, monitoring key processes and performance indicators
Data Analyst job requirements

Attributes for Success:

  • 3+ years experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or a closely related discipline
  • B.S. in a quantitative field (Econ, Business, STEM) a plus; advanced degree preferred Experience with quantitative methods required, e.g. statistics and data visualization
  • Experience building business intelligence & reporting functionality in high growth / early stage companies or product lines; healthcare experience is a very large plus
  • A natural curiosity for data, answers and insights
  • Deep experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Mixpanel
  • Able to distill complex data into easy to understand analysis with actionable recommendations
  • Fluent in SQL, have familiarity with ETLs, and can use these skills to build rational, connected datasets and dashboards to present data to business users. Experience with Python and Snowflake are large pluses
  • A data culture champion where you help train, educate, and foster a data driven culture
  • Adaptable. You enjoy working in a fast-changing environment and look for ways to continuously improve yourself and how things are done.
