About the Role:

As a Staff Analyst, Operations, you will play a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making and operational performance improvements across Hims & Hers’ operations.

You will operate as an experienced individual contributor who can independently lead complex analyses, apply structured problem-solving, and translate data into actionable insights. This role sits between execution and strategy—owning meaningful analytical workstreams while beginning to influence broader business decisions and approaches. You will partner closely with Dispense & Fulfillment, Operations Assurance, Planning & Optimization, Compounding, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations Finance. This role reports to the Director of Operations Analytics.

You Will:

Analytical Execution & Problem Solving:

Own end-to-end delivery of complex analytical projects with minimal oversight

Structure ambiguous problems into clear analytical approaches and deliver actionable insights

Apply statistical analysis, trend analysis, and operational frameworks to solve diverse business problems

Adapt and apply established methodologies to new or evolving operational challenges

Operational Performance & Insights:

Analyze operational performance (throughput, SLAs, cost, quality) and identify improvement opportunities

Develop and refine KPI frameworks to support consistent performance measurement

Monitor trends and proactively surface risks, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities

Experimentation & Decision Support:

Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests, pilots) to inform operational and product decisions

Build scenario analyses and lightweight models to support planning and resource allocation

Contribute to optimization efforts by quantifying tradeoffs and recommending data-driven actions

Stakeholder Partnership:

Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and begin influencing decision making

Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Support senior stakeholders by providing structured analysis and recommendations on key initiatives

Collaboration & Influence:

Partner with Analytics Engineering and Data teams to ensure data quality and availability

Contribute to team best practices in analytics, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement

Begin advising stakeholders on moderately complex analytical questions and business tradeoffs

Reporting & Communication:

Develop clear, concise deliverables (analyses, dashboards, presentations) aligned to business needs

Tailor communication style based on audience, including senior stakeholders

Ensure insights are actionable and tied to measurable business outcomes

Staff Data Analyst job requirements

You Have:

8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Advanced SQL proficiency; experience with Python or R for analysis

Strong foundation in analytical methods (experimentation, statistical analysis, forecasting, or operational analytics)

Demonstrated ability to independently execute complex analyses and deliver business impact

Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in operations, product, or finance environments

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, healthcare operations, or marketplace environments

Familiarity with modern data tools (Google Big Query, dbt, Looker) from an analytics consumption perspective

Experience defining KPIs and supporting performance management frameworks

Exposure to experimentation, optimization, or operational modeling

Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Data Science, etc.)

Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools or agent-based workflows (e.g., LLMs, copilots, automated querying/insight generation tools)

Experience applying AI to accelerate analysis, improve decision-making, or scale insights in business contexts

Understanding of limitations, risks, and validation approaches when using AI in analytical workflows
