Job Description & Responsibilities
The Associate, Data Analytics supports CharterSAFE’s strategic initiatives by upkeeping, analyzing and interpreting data related to members, member engagement, employee lifecycle trends, risk management activity and claims activity. This role contributes directly to developing data-informed strategies that improve service delivery, compliance, and operational outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with data preparation and analysis for CharterSAFE’s Fall and Spring member surveys.
Develop reports and dashboards to support internal teams and leadership decision-making.
Collaborate with HR partners to identify trends in employee relations, training participation, and workforce demographics.
Assist in the preparation of underwriting data for renewals and member reporting.
Analyze member data as assigned and for organizational initiatives that require data analytics.
Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and consistency for member reporting and internal operations.
Research Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other technological tools that improve access to operational insights and efficiencies.
Participate in CharterSAFE initiatives and support strategic objectives.
Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings/seminars/conferences as needed.
Assist with upkeep and distribution of data related to members, including but not limited to contact information, insurance information, certificates of insurance requests and issuances, and upkeep of members’ insurance documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience working with data in an applied setting (internships or academic projects may qualify).
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Familiarity with charter school, nonprofit, K-12 education, or public sector environments is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational skills, commitment to detail, and a self-starter who can prioritize and multitask effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong self-management and prioritizing skills.
Team player with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships.
Strong and professional presence. Ability to earn the trust and respect of the staff working for CharterSAFE members.
High proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proficiency in Power BI, SPSS, and other data analytics and data visualization software highly preferred.
Ability to act with integrity and confidentiality.
Physical Standards:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including reaching, fine manual dexterity, talking/hearing, and visual acuity.
Occasional standing and walking.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Home office environment which is quiet, private, and distraction-free.
Reliable high-speed internet connection.
Work Environment:
This position operates primarily in a remote office setting, with occasional travel to conferences or meetings as required.
Potential hazards may include contact with dissatisfied individuals.
